Gatherings Catering Company is very pleased to announce that we have been selected as one of the approved caterers for yet another “amazing” Historic Landmark catering Venue.
The Century Club, at 566 East Ave. across from the Strathallen, is a magnificent turn of the century Mansion that has been the home of the Century Club for Women since 2010. It is now being opened up to the public.
Porches, circling the exterior bring in mind long ago garden parties.
Upon entering the Mansion, a magnificent curved staircase makes a dramatic first impression. The architect, Albrecht Vogt built this staircase and the beautiful stained glass window above it with a second floor rotunda, so that his daughters would have a fitting background as they descended in their wedding attire.
The parlors, porch, and foyer make a beautiful pre assembly area for cocktails and hors d’oeuvre while the first floor, dining room, ballroom and sun porch make the perfect setting for a served meal or buffet for up to 100 guests.
The large ballroom on the second floor lends itself beautifully for a wedding ceremony. The formal ladies lounge on the second floor makes a stunning backdrop for the bride to get ready and relax before the ceremony while the groom and groomsmen can hang out in the men’s lounge.
This would also be an awesome private setting for corporate events, business meetings and dinners. There are many spaces that could be used for breakout sessions and a large area for the whole group to assemble.
Rehearsal dinners, birthday parties and Bridal and Baby Showers would be perfect in this elegant setting.
The good news also is that when you rent the space, it is yours and yours alone. You are not competing with 3 other events going on around you.
The Mansion is large enough to easily handle a cocktail or station party for 150 guests.
